Bruce was in pastoral ministry for 56 years. He served as current pastor of Empire Church of God for 22 years. He served as police chaplain for various departments across Alabama. He honorably served his country in the Army branch of the United States military. He was very passionate about his country.

Bruce loved Camp Utopia in Springville Alabama. He served over 50 years in some facet. His current role was head cook, and he loved to serve people. His food was well known among families and friends.

We were honored to have known a man to leave such a beautiful legacy. He mirrored Christ.

Pastor Bruce was pure joy. He was confetti in every room he walked in. He was a strong and steady presence for many. What a journey we’ve had with Bruce. He was very proud of his family and celebrated every small and big occasion. He was the best cheerleader for everyone.

Bruce loved his church and his community. He wanted to see Empire thrive. One thing he always closed with was, “Won’t you consider Christ today?”

Let us rejoice in knowing he is with his Lord and Savior. We shall see him again!
