Brian Porter Profile PhotoBrian Stovall Porter, 53, of Saltillo, MS passed away peacefully July 31, 2024. He was the son of Bill Porter and the late Dianne Puckett Porter.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Porter; children, Will, Alli, Logan, and Leah; brother, Ben (Aimee); nephews, Barrett and Ethan; and a host of close cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dianne Puckett Porter; and brother Brad Porter.

Brian was a passionate banker with an admirable commitment to serving his customers above and beyond expectation. Relationships with his co-workers and customers were important to him.

He was a devoted husband. He and Karen enjoyed sports comradery of the SEC and going to the family farm.

His greatest joy was being a father to Will and Alli. Through the years he was there to support them as a coach or in the stands. He never passed up an opportunity to share his pride in raising two caring and talented children.

Brian was an avid hunter and enjoyed his time in the woods of Houston and also with special cousins Jeff and Dan on the farm in Pattison. He took pride in always having a freezer full of meat.

He was a proud Delta State alumni and looked forward to competitive flights of golf annually with his closest buddies at the “6 Man”.

Brian also attended the Orchard Church in Tupelo.

Brian loved his family deeply. We have many fond memories, and he will be cherished in our hearts always.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. until service time Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Hope Church, Tupelo.

A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be 4 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Hope Church in Tupelo with Bro. Bryan Collier and Mr. Brady Stewart officiating. Pegues Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of the arrangements.
