brianBrian Lee Felber, 24, of Florence, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 29, 2014.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Brian is survived by his wife, Ariel Colleen Phillips Felber; parents, Frank and Lita Felber; sister, Christina Marie Felber; grandparents, Frank “Papa” and Marion Felber; aunts, Tammy Jean Felber, Glenda Haugen, and Shirley Felber; uncle, Clifford; cousins, Christey, Austin, and Harv Southiseng; and a host of his closest friends and Marine brothers.

Pallbearers will be Will Willams, Courtney Daniels, Cain Miller, Justin Jaynes, Michael Aquaviva, and Jason Williams.

Lance Cpl. Brian Felber was a retired Marine of 1st Battalion 6th Marines Bravo Company from June 30, 2008-Sept. 30, 2014. On Oct. 31, 2011, while patrolling in Afghanistan, Brian stepped on an IED and tragically lost both of his legs. Regardless of his injuries, he progressed quickly, battling through continuous pain. Anyone who knew Brian knows he was full of life and energy and would never give up when faced with a challenge. He was determined to persevere through his injuries and knew without a doubt that he would. He was respected and admired by many, but he was loved by everyone, especially those who were fortunate enough to be in his presence. He was, and will always be, an inspiration to all and a friend to everyone.

Although this is a time of great sorrow and grief, we can take comfort in the fact that Brian is still with us and watching over us. Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.”
