Brian Kent Hickman Profile Photo  Brian Kent Hickman was born in Selmer, TN on July 4, 1963. He is the son of Vernon Robert Hickman and the late Judy Mai Case Hickman.

Brian was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend to many.

As a child he enjoyed riding his pony, Jack, alongside his sister and her pony, Champ. They won many trophies and ribbons. As he grew older, he enjoyed all things outdoors such as fishing, hunting, and camping. He worked at his father’s cabinet business for over 30 years, with an expertise in cutting countertops. His interests in life also included traveling, music festivals, car shows, wrestling, auctions and yard sales. Most of which he did with his loving father, Vernon.

Brian was a member of First Baptist Church of Bethel Springs, TN. He was a long term member of many clubs and organizations including Selmer Moose Lodge, Selmer Jaycees, Ducks Unlimited, TWRA, Bethel Springs Fire Dept volunteer, instructor for the Hunter Safety Course, one of the founders for the McNairy County Bass Club, and a lifetime member of the NRA.

Brian departed this life on April 28, 2023 in his home in Bethel Springs, TN at the age of 59. He is survived by his wife Cynthia “Cindy” Lynn Russell Hickman, and his beautiful daughter Briana Lynn Hickman, whom he loved so much, his father, Vernon Robert Hickman, his sister Rhonda Hemby and husband Timmy Hemby of Finger, TN, and his brother Jay Hickman of Henderson, TN. Brian had two nephews, Grant Hemby of Jackson, TN and Drew Hemby of Foley, AL. He also had three nieces, Hope Leffingwell Butler, Meghing Leffingwell Russell, and Jaiden Hickman, all of Henderson, TN.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Mai Case Hickman.

At the end of his life, Brian made the decision to donate his body to the Anatomical Bequest Program at Union University in Jackson TN. Through this selfless gift, students at the University will have the experiences to expand their education.

A special thank you to everyone at TN Quality Hospice of Jackson, TN. The compassionate care and love given to Brian and our family made his passing easier and helped us prepare for this difficult time. We couldn’t have done it without you all.

A celebration of life will be held at the home of Brian and Cindy

Hickman, per Brian’s request on June 4th, 2023 from 2pm-5pm.
