Brian Keith Prunty, Sr., passed away unexpectedly on Jan 26th 2024 in Tampa Florida. Brian was extremely proud of his decade of military service. He is a Gulf War veteran. For the last several years he has been living out his retirement in Florida at a 55 plus community. When speaking with members of the community they would tell you Brian thought about the members before he would think about himself. He would give you the shirt off his back without anyone asking for it.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Grace McMurrain, his biological father Edward “Frank” Rich Sr, his mother Zimmer “Louise” Prunty, and his adoptive father Robert William Prunty. He is survived by his twin brother William “Billy” Prunty, older brother Edward “Frank” Rich Jr, older sister Mariam Salsman. He has three surviving children; Amber Wilder, Brian K Prunty Jr, and Rebecca Parks. He also has multiple grandchildren; Trinity Christine Wilder, Mason James Prunty, and Logan Gene Parks.
Internment will be at the Fischer Cemetery in Fort Payne, AL on March 14th at 2 PM. Military Honors will be performed. His wish was to be buried next to his mother who he deeply loved and respected. The family would be proud to have any veteran attend to honor a brother-in-arms.
