Brian Joseph KellyBrian Joseph Kelly, 48, of Leeds, Alabama, passed away on November 10, 2023, after a hard fought battle with cancer and congestive heart failure. He was born on March 2, 1975, in Henrico County, Virginia and grew up in Leeds, Alabama. Brian was an amazing father, brother, and friend. Brian never met a stranger and would take the shirt off his back to help someone. He will be remembered for his funny personality and his empathetic caring heart.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alan George Kelly Sr.; Brother-in-law James Pickens Jr.; Grandparents Raymond and Rose Hefton, Wesley and Bertha Kelly; Aunts Patricia Whitehead, Ann Work, Renate Kelly Easley, and Adelaide Godek; Uncles Wayne Kelly, Jimmy Kelly, Wesley Kelly, Bobby Kelly and David Kelly.

He is survived by his son, Alex Chase Kelly; His mother Kathleen Kelly (Gary) of Leeds; brothers Alan Kelly Jr. (Tasha) of Ragland, Christopher Kelly of Petersburg, Tenn.; sisters, Rose Dunaway (Darold) of Leeds, Jessica Scott (Mike) of Breezy Point, MN, and Mary Beth Pickens of Leeds; nephews Josh Kelly (Seleah), Jace Kelly, Daniel Kelly (Elizabeth), Jakob Robbins, Elliott Pickens, Isaac Manthei (Lexie), and Payton Scott; nieces Jessica Jones (Alex), Julie Kelly, Hannah Scoggins, and Lauren Scott; great nieces Lauryn Kelly, Ella Kelly, and Cadence Jones; uncles Raymond Hefton and Pat Kelly (Yolanda); aunts Joan Gonzalez (Joe), Missy Kelly, and Dixie Kelly; and a host of cousins.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Leeds First Baptist Church. Visitation with family will take place at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am.

Brian will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were touched by his life.
