Brian J. Waters, 48, of Rogersville passed away, Friday, February 20th, 2015 to his Almighty Father on a crisp pre-dawn Alabama winter morning, full of grace and serenity after a nearly 6 month battle with cancer surrounded by family members and loved ones.
He was the much loved son of an ex-Marine father and homemaker mother, brother of five siblings, influential father figure to his step-daughter, boyfriend of his new-found love, and dearly missed leader of his employees and partner of his colleagues at Sherwin-Williams.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 25th, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home, Rogersville, AL.
Funeral mass will be Thursday, February 26th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Athens, AL with Father Charley Alookaran officiating.
Interment will follow in Rogersville Funeral Home Cemetery.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence and Jean Allie and Mr. & Mrs. Frank and Alice Waters; mother, Joy Jean Waters and uncle, Clarence “Bro” Allie. He is survived by his step-daughter, Sarah Nicole Weems; father, Frank John Waters, Jr.; siblings, Michael John Waters, David Joseph Waters, Cynthia Jean Merkel; Christopher Jason Waters, Elizabeth Joy Downey and girlfriend, Amber Suzanne Coleman.
