Brenda Sue Sartain, 69, peacefully passed from her earthly home at her residence on Saturday, June 15, 2024 after a brief illness. She was born July 17, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa to Sam and Kathlene Garrison. Over the past twenty-eight years, she has dedicated herself to Silver Dollar Sales, where she served as office manager. Her commitment earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Brenda’s greatest joy was found in her family. Brenda loved her husband dearly. She was a devoted mother and “Mimi”. Her grandchildren brought immeasurable happiness to her life. Known for her selfless nature, Brenda took great pleasure in caring for others, exemplifying compassion and generosity in all she did. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Brenda was a member of Liberty Church of Christ, whose faith and community were sources of strength throughout her life.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 19, 11 a.m. at Liberty Church of Christ, Dennis, MS with David Conley, Haskell Sparks and Randy Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery, Dennis, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, James Estes Sartain; two daughters, Nikki Tacker (John Michael) and Amee Scott (Thomas); grandchildren, Ridge Tacker, Lincoln Tacker, Shelby S. Smith (Mark) and Nathan Scott (Mallory); three great-grandchildren, Conner, Harper and Henry; her mother, Kathlene Garrison; one sister, Kathy G. Parker; one brother, Dennis Garrison (Kathy) and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Garrison; brother, Timmy Garrison and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be John Michael Tacker, Thomas Scott, Tommy Crane, Randy Sparks, Quint Sartain and Mark Smith.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday, June 19, 10-11 a.m. at Liberty Church of Christ.
