Brenda Sue Jordan Brady, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at her Jackson residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 13, 1941, in Jackson, TN to the late Walter Louis and Eunice Lee Lewis Jordan.

Brenda’s educational journey began at Beech Bluff High School, graduating in 1959 with a solid foundation for a successful future. She dedicated her time and expertise to the Shelby County Assessor’s Office, retiring with eighteen years of service.

She loved her family, going to church and working in the children’s department. She enjoyed her trips to Branson, MO and loving her cats, as well as being an avid fan of the Memphis Grizzles.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Brady and her son, Scott Douglas.

She is survived by her sisters, Charlotte Legg and husband Tom, Linda Mayberry, Tammie Criss and husband Randy, her brothers, Louis Jordan and wife Glenda and Eddy Michael Jordan and wife Julia, and her uncle, Ivy Jordan, and wife Frieda.

In the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing Brenda, she will always be remembered as a warm and compassionate soul. Her unwavering love for her family, unwavering commitment to excellence in her career, and unwavering faith in God serve as an enduring testament to her character.

To honor Brenda’s legacy, a visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until 12:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors. A celebration of life service will follow in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with her nephew, Bishop J. P. Stovall officiating at 12:00 p.m. The burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington, TN.

Her nephews will serve as pallbearers for the service.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
