Funeral service for Brenda Sue Johnson Alvis, 77, will be Friday, January 5, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Compton and Bro. Ben Bates officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alvis died on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born July 10, 1946, in Morgan County, to Lester Lee Johnson and Mary Christine Moore.
She was a Physical Therapist Aide for Hartselle Medical Center, prior to her retirement. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were two husbands, Jimmy Rittman and Mitchell Alvis, her parents, two brothers, Raybon Johnson and Wayne Johnson, a granddaughter, Allison Rittman and a Great Grandson, Dakota Cocke.
Survivors include
Son – Mark Rittman (Lori)
Daughter – Melissa Moore (Scott)
Brother – Harold Johnson (Juanita)
Sisters-in-law – Demaris Johnson and Margie Johnson.
Four Grandchildren – Courtney Cocke (Michael), Emily King (Kent), John David Rittman (Delaney), Andrew Rittman (Gracie).
Seven Great Grandchildren – Lily, Sami, Daniel, Jaxson, Westen, Kolten and Tenley.
A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
