Funeral service for Brenda Payne Jones, 67, of Decatur will be Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Ray Remke officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Parkway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones, who died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital, was born July 20, 1946, in Moulton to Waldon Payne and Daisy Lee Pitt. She was a retired material specialist and a member of Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and cross-stitching. Her parents preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Gordon Jones; two sons, Thomas Jeffrey Beasley and Thomas Jared Beasley; her stepfather, Gwyn Clay Pitt; two grandchildren, Jonah Jeffrey Beasley and Jordan Thomas Beasley; one brother, James Waldon Payne; one sister, Dianne Pitt Newman; one niece, Crystal Newman Burrow; and one nephew, Jonathan Payne.
Pallbearers will be Gwyn C. Pitt, Randy L. Newman, Wade Burrow, Jonathan Payne, Jonah J. Beasley and Jordan T. Beasley.
