Brenda Mae Defoor Mashburn, age 75 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away October 20, 2024. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. George Whitten and Bro. Ron Horton officiating. Burial will follow in New Prospect Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Long, Samuel Mashburn, Chris Childers, Andrew Mashburn, Nelson Defoor and Elijah Mashburn. Honorary pallbearer is Tyler Long.
Ms. Mashburn is survived by her husband, “Bill” Luther L. Mashburn; daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Warner; son, Jerry (Audrey) Mashburn; adopted daughter, Johnna (Jessica) Perry; grandchildren, Terra (Anthony) Fulmer, Jonathan (Maci) Long, Tyler Long, Samuel (Madelyn) Mashburn, Andrew (Hannah) Mashburn, Elijah Mashburn, Brooklyn Pelt, Whitney Pelt and Tyler Perry; great grandchildren, Asher Waldrep, Sophia Long, Adeline Long, and Caroline Long; sister: Joan Defoor; brothers, Don (Violette) Defoor, Wayne (Susan) Defoor, and Johnny Defoor; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, David Lynn Mashburn; parents, Henry and Earlene Defoor; sister, Peggy Childers; grandson, Corey Dean Mashburn; and great grandson, Jon Henry Long.
