Brenda Leigh WomackOur dear mother, Brenda Leigh Womack, unexpectedly passed away on June 13, 2022 at the age of 62, in Madison, AL.
She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 5, 1959 and grew up in Bel Air, MD. In 1975, her family moved to Huntsville, Alabama and she graduated from Virgil Grissom High School in 1977. She went on to study psychology at Maryville College, in Tennessee, before moving back to Huntsville, AL permanently.
She was preceded in death by her father (Joseph McNiell Sr., b.1929 d.1980), mother (Alberta McNiell (Taylor), b. 1922 d. 1998), and brother Joseph McNiell Jr. (b. 1956 d. 2020). She leaves behind her only child, daughter; Kristi Bozeman Silvernail (Trevor); grandson; Lucius; her two nieces, Barbara Saunders (John) and Sarah Armstrong (Joshua), two sisters-in-law; Cynthia Womack Hudson and Donna McNiell, and two aunts; Barbara Handley and Shirley Heatherly.
Our mother was a beacon of generosity and beloved member of her community, stemming from her 40+ years of customer service. Those who got to know her, knew she was the most special, genuine, and compassionate person. She always gave her time and attention to her friends and family, especially her Whole Foods family. Her love was always endless and judgment-free. She will be missed terribly.
If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the memorial service we are holding in her honor at Berryhill Funeral Home on June 25 at 4:00 PM, officiated by Shannon O’Neal. We will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to wholeplanetfoundation.org. She will be buried alongside her parents in Townsend, Tennessee the following day.
