Mrs. Brenda Kaye Stilber, age 72, passed away Monday May 15, 2023 at her home from a brief illness.  Kaye was born in Pikeville on September 19, 1950 to the late Thomas S. Hankins and Norene Van Winkle Land.  Kaye was a Registered Nurse for over twenty-five years receiving her Associates Degree from Manatee Community College, owned a flower shop with her sister Faye, was a 1967 graduate of McMinnville City High School and attended the Midway Church of Christ. Kaye loved her years living and raising her family in Sarasota, FL before she retired and moved back to Tennessee and remembered fondly her active life with the South Trail Church of Christ. She was a Christian woman, an amazing mother, and never met a stranger. Her larger than life personality will be missed, but never forgotten!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons; Chuck Ford and Mike Berry, brother; Johnny Hankins, nephew; Randy Alexander.

Kaye is survived by her loving family, husband; Thomas H. Stilber of Spencer, daughters; Shannon (Rickey) Hitchcock of Rock Island, Norene (Naith) Puckett of Crossville, son; Philip (Kristin) Stilber of Sandy, OR, and daughter-in-law Anna Berry of Littleton, CO. She is also survived by her twin sister, Faye Hankins of Spencer, older sister Hilda Cox of Liberty, SC, niece; Marny Black,   grandchildren; Ashley, Robbie, Nash, Nora, Sarah, Huck, and many extended family and friends.

Visitation is Thursday, May 18, at 11:00am at Layne Funeral Home in Spencer, TN.

Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm and will be officiated by Bro. Lynn Potter and Bro. Cecil VanWinkle with a graveside service at Lonewood Cemetary.
