Brenda Kay Simmons Martin, age 51 of Cowan, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, she was born on July 17, 1972, to the late John L. Simmons and Sharron Cornelison. She was the owner and operator of a cleaning service. She enjoyed going on long walks and riding around “sight-seeing.” Brenda Kay will be remembered for her outgoing and fun nature. She was of Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Simmons Jr. Brenda Kay is survived by her loving children, Jessica Martin (Tylor Borne), and Frank Martin; granddaughter, Skylynn Borne; soon to arrive grandson, Jestyn Borne; siblings, Rita Goff, Joyce Simmons, and Jimmy Simmons; niece, Brittany Zeman; and great-nephews, Ryver and Diesel Davis. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
