Brenda Kay Allen, 82, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 10, at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield, beginning at 2:00 p.m., with Chad Holder officiating.
Brenda was a member of Tuscumbia Church of Christ and worked as a hairdresser for forty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Clayton Allen; parents, James and Dorthy McGuyer; and grandchildren, Russ Allen Hargrove and Michael Clayton Allen, Jr.
Brenda is survived by her children, Lori Allen Hargrove (Steve), Michael Clayton Allen (Jan), and Kevin Leslie Allen; brother, James “Ben” McGuire (Sandra); sisters, Judy Boothe (Hayden), Martha Hoff (Larry), and Carol Layne (Bob); grandchildren, Hannah Lee Bishop (Jacob), Hunter Leslie Allen, and Maggie Grace Allen; and great-grandchildren, Rhett Winston Bishop and Judd Winston Bishop.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Cottage of the Shoals and Hospice of Alabama.
