Brenda K. Payne, 60, of Huntsville, passed away Monday. Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Killen. She graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor’s degree, and was employed with Huntsville Hospital. She was an avid Alabama fan and supporter. Brenda was a devoted mother and friend to all.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Payne; son, Harris Toney Mitchell III of Nashville; mother, Lona Killen, of Athens; and brother, Billy Killen (Karen) of Columbia, TN.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. No further services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
