Brenda Joan Gambrel Brenda Joan Gambrel, 70, passed away in her home in Anniston, AL on Thursday morning November 23, 2023. Brenda was born in Fort McClellan Alabama to the late Loid Dallas and Janice Gambrel. She is also predeceased by her brother Dallas “Punchy” Gambrel.

She moved around as a child from Alabama, to Jersey, to Detroit, finally settling in St. Louis where she finished high school at South County Technical School. Shortly after graduation she decided to move back to Alabama with her Grandparents and set out to complete beauty school for a possible career as a beautician.

Brenda had an early career as a beautician, but quit to become a stay at home Mother. She was the type of person that enjoyed an occasional adventure telling stories of old and new with family, especially her children. She was very artistic and enjoyed different types of music, poetry, and art. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed cooking and everyone enjoyed her cooking!

She is cherished in memory by three sons; Joe Wallace (Wife, Chasity Wallace), Michael Wallace (Wife, Lee Ann Wallace), and Jimmie Wallace. She is also cherished by nine Grandchildren; Nick Wallace, Ashton Wallace, Chloe Gibbs, Crimson Gibbs, Jagger Wallace, Levi Wallace, Logan Wallace, Autumn Wallace, Austin Wallace, by one great grandchild Masie Grey, and two brothers; Jeff and Tim Gambrel.

Her wishes are to be cremated, however a service will be held at Good News Assembly of Alexandria (1319 Jacksonville/Alexander Hwy, Alexandria AL) on Monday, November 25, 2023 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a meal provided by the church for further fellowship.
