Brenda Gayle Aycock Allen, 78, of Tuscumbia, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8, from 10 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Valley Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church with Bro. Greg Beasley officiating.
Brenda was a lifelong member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Homer J. and Lola Aycock; sister, Ruby Morgan (Clyde); and brother-in-law, Bobby Martin.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Larry Allen; daughter, Cassaundra Allen Moore (Michael) of Tuscaloosa, Al; sister, Martha Ann Martin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family expresses special thanks to the staffs of Clearview Cancer Institute and Hospice of North Alabama and to all the friends and church family for their love, support, prayers, food, etc.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Valley Grove Baptist Building Fund, American Cancer Society, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Honorary pallbearers are Dwight Jones, Dan Simmons, Wayne Jeffreys, Ray Counts, Darryl Tverberg, Mike Moore, Doug Myhan, Sammy Dennis, and Dewey Pace.
