Brenda Faye Jones Rogers, born on March 27, 1946 in Hazel Green passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Arnold and Vadie Lee Jones.
Brenda worked several years at Motorola Electronics and LG Electronics both in Huntsville, AL before retiring. She was a member of Carter Grove Baptist Church.
She battled cancer for several years but she always thought of others instead of herself. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her cakes, sending birthday and get-well cards as well as a loving friend to many people. She enjoyed watching Alabama and Eagles football games.
In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her son, Thomas Wade Hames, her two brothers Dan Levern Jones and Billy Wayne Jones.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Johnson (Robert), Hazel Green, AL, two grandchildren: Bradley Johnson (Katelyn), Somerville, AL, and Chelsea Yeager (Brandon), Hazel Green, AL, one great granddaughter: Winnie Sue Johnson, nieces: Melody Wright and Valerie Scroggins, nephew: Wayne Jones, great nieces and nephew.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11am to 1pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with burial following in Charity Cemetery.
