Brenda Doris Burnette, 67, resident of Walnut, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth following complications of a current illness.

Services honoring the life of Ms. Burnette will be at 11 AM Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church in Middleton, TN with Bro Jeremy Luna and Rodger Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery,

Ms. Burnette was born on October 8, 1955 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Waldon and Dora Lee Hopkins Whitehead. She received her education in the Benton County Public School System and was a valued employee in the hospitality industry throughout her life until retirement.

Fishing, cooking meals with her son, watching various Television shows such as “The Golden Girls”, weekly jaunts to her friends and families houses and caring for those she loved were a few of Ms. Burnette’s favorite pastimes.

Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church in Middleton, TN.

Those left to cherish memories include three sons, Kerry “P-nut” Whitehead, Justin Burnette, Jeremy Burnette (Misty), two sisters, Sandra Mercer, Bonnie McAlpin (Tim), one brother, James Whitehead (Zina) and four grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Dorthy Wilbanks, Kathy Waldrop and one brother, Ricky Whitehead.
