Graveside service for Brenda Dean (Hall) Scoggins, age 70, of Moulton will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Moulton Memory Gardens with Rev. Scotty Letson officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to service. Ms. Scoggins, who died Monday, November 18, 2024, at NHC Healthcare in Moulton, was born February 26, 1954, in Alabama to Coy Hall and Nellie Gillespie Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steven Coy Hall; and sister, Marilyn Hall. Brenda’s leisure time was spent crocheting, thrift store shopping, collecting magnifying glasses, sewing, and trying recipes from her many cookbooks. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Jamie Scoggins (Wesley) and Ginger Kelley Morris (Justin); two brothers, Melvin Coy “Buddy” Hall (Kathy) and Scotty Hall (Sara); three sisters, Jean Yarbrough (Tim), Tammy Hall, and Diane Reisdorfer (Dan); six grandchildren, Kylie Terry (Adam), Judson Morris, Brayden Schrimsher, Garrett Schrimsher, Callie Rae Swaim, and Trae Rose; and great-grandchild, Truett Craig Terry.
Pallbearers will be Adam Terry, Judson Morris, Cobie Hall, Justin Morris, Buddy Brian Hall, Steven Hall, Wesley Schrimsher, and Sonny Thompson.
The family would like to express their special thanks to NHC Healthcare, especially Jamey, Laura, Shanika, Nikki, and Olivia, and to Hospice of the Valley for their care and compassion during Brenda’s final days.
