Brenda Dean Bennefield, 52, of Arab. Alabama died Monday – June 6, 2016 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Brenda was born on May 11, 1964 in Marietta, Georgia to Paul Wiley Mullinax & Tommie Dean Gayton Mullinax. She worked for Midas Burger of Arab as a cook. Her husband, Thomas LaWayne Bennefield preceded her in death in June 2007.
She was a member of New Home Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother: Tommie Dean Mullinax Wehunt; her boyfriend: Calvin Hyde; three sons: Thomas Bradley Bennefield (Erica), Wesley Bennefield (Lindy), Steven Bennefield (Kali); daughters: Jennifer Bennefield (Michael Dodson), Tequila King; her boyfriends children: Darrett Wayne Hyde (Sandra), Britton Hyde , Gerald Hyde, Teresa Smith (Greg); three brothers: Bobby Mullinax (Donna), David Mullinax, John Mullinax (Kelley); a sister Joyce Mullinax and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas LaWayne Bennefield, her father Paul Wiley Mullinax and a granddaughter Addyson Winston.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday – June 8, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Gary Harvell officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery – Holly Pond, with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Darrett Wayne Hyde, Mark Winston, Bryan Bailey, Travis Gravitt, Timothy Cranford and Anthony Cranford.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday – June 8, 2016 at Arab heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
