Brenda Darlene Fulmer (nee Crowder, formerly Ayles) was born September 12, 1950, and went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2024 at her home in Guntersville, Alabama. Daughter of the late Alfred and Lillie Crowder and beloved wife of the late John Robert Ayles. Dear sister of the late Eugene T. (Patricia) Crowder, the late Larry T. Crowder, the late William V. Crowder, the late Alfred L. Crowder Jr., Norman (Phyliss) Crowder, and Sheila (Roger) Strait. Cherished mother of Cherri (Reggie) Jones and John Robert (Kate) Fulmer. She was adored by her grandchildren, Mercedes, Orion, Josephine, and Daniel and her great-grandson, Osiris.

Brenda had many passions in life, including her faith, her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, crafts, traveling, scrapbooking, and working with stained glass. Brenda was a very generous woman who carried out her mother’s wish to care for those who were sick, especially those who were bedridden. Brenda retired from Ford Motor Company in 2005 after being a proud union auto worker for 35 years, allowing her to return to Alabama to take care of her younger brother, Larry. Those who knew Brenda knew that she could make anyone’s day brighter with her smile, quick wit, and humor. Brenda will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Ford City, Alabama on July 13th, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Brenda’s name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
