Brenda Coriene Shores, age 78 of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 4th, with Bro. Terry Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory’s cemetery with Danny Watson, Landon Shores, Travis Bush, Greg Gray, Jeff Troutt, and Jeff Colton serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 3rd from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Thursday from 9:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM.
Mrs. Shores was born on May 24, 1945 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Wallace & Jeanette Bostelman Carrington. She was a homemaker and her greatest joy was staying home with her children. She also was a daycare director for many years in Joelton and Pleasant View. She loved to quilt, crochet, and color paint. She loved her family and her grandchildren very much and was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John B. Shores.
Survivors include her son, Jonathan (Amy) Shores; daughter, Becky (Jeff) Troutt; brother, Gary (Margaret) Carrington; sisters, Wanda (Larry) Perry and Deborah (Jeff) Colton; grandchildren, Travis Bush, Devin Mumaw, Chloe Troutt, and Landon Shores; and seven great-grandchildren.
