Brenda Cook was born March 3, 1947 in Selmer, TN, the daughter of the late Arlie Moore and Ruth Reaves Moore.
Brenda inherited her green thumb from her mother, and her yard was a testament to the care and dedication she poured into nurturing beautiful flowers. Family meant everything to Brenda, and she made sure to create lasting memories with her loved ones, cherishing every moment together. Her devotion was evident in the way she never missed a birthday celebration, always bringing joy to those around her.
Brenda’s greatest source of pride and joy was her son Lee. Their shared dinners were moments she treasured deeply, expressing a love that knew no bounds. She said more than one time, “I know that Lee will be fine if I’m not here”. Despite not having siblings, Lee had a fierce competitor for his mother’s affection in Casey, her beloved little dog. He ruled their home, and she loved his company.
Brenda’s warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her, and though she may be physically absent, her spirit will continue to live on in the memories of those she touched. We can be assured knowing that she is in heaven with her Lord, mother, sister and brother. Oh, what a celebration when she walked through those gates.
Brenda retired from Dicken Commodities in Memphis. She was an Executive Assistant and worked there many years.
