Ms. Brenda Ann Ashworth, 61, a resident of Dyer Street in Columbia, died Sunday, August 29, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services for Ms. Ashworth will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born October 16, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Walter Ashworth and the late Vera Louise Embler McIntyre. Ms. Ashworth was a former sales associate at Dillard’s at Cool Springs. She enjoyed reading and baking and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her sons, Larry (Casey) Brown of Spring Hill and Joseph Dick of Columbia; sister, Doris Brown of Columbia; brothers, Bobby “Sam” Ashworth, Sr. of Spring Hill and Ronnie “Shorty” (Audrey) Ashworth, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Logan Styers, Alyssa Brown and Grace Brown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debra Wells.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
