With broken hearts and the knowledge that our Heavenly Father will give us strength to endure, the family of Brayden Alexander McDonald, 9, asks for your prayers in the loss of Brayden who passed on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, in Memphis, TN, following an extended illness.

Funeral Services honoring the life of Brayden will be at 1 PM Monday, December 11, 2023, at Moss Hill Baptist Church in New Albany with Bro. Mitchell Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 9 PM Sunday, December 10 and will continue from 9 AM to Service time Monday, December 11 at Moss Hill Baptist Church.

Brayden was born September 10, 2014, in New Albany and is the son of Blake and Kayla Dunaway McDonald.  A Disney music fan, Brayden loved bright lights, hand shadows and watching the leaves fall from the trees.  A true red head, he had quite the temper, but loved the attention he drew from everyone around him and loved to “aggravate.”

Memories will continue to be shared by his parents, a sister, Marley McDonald, grandparents, Ernie and Kathy McDonald, Pam Philyaw (David), Joseph Dunaway, great-grandmothers, Jean Maddox and Linda Howard and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brayden was greeted into heaven by his great grandfather, Dewayne Maddox and his great great grandmother, Betty Whitehead.

Memorials may be directed to the LBC FedExHouse at www.fedexfamilyhouse.org.

The staff of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Service invites you to share memories.
