Funeral Services for Mr. Brad Nowland, age 78, of Ashland , will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023 at Benefield Funeral Home Ashland at 1:00 P.M with Bro Jimmy Gee and Thomas Young officiating. Burial will follow at Union D Cemetery Delta, AL.
Brad was born in Talladega, Alabama and graduated from Childersburg High School. He had worked at several different jobs during his early life, enjoyed buying, fixing and selling cars, and then several years at Kimberly-Clarke. After Mr. Nowland was saved he became passionate about preaching the gospel and also enjoyed his service as a foreign missionary. He was a member of the Ironaton Church of Christ.
Mr. Nowland is survived by his daughter, Diane Young (Thomas) of Wetumpka, AL; son Tommy Nowland of Ashland, AL; two grandchildren; Andrea Nowland and Coby Mayne; one great-grandson, Logan Nowland; one sister Linda Putman of GA.; and one brother; Don Nowland of Alpine and his extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin Nowland and Wilma Dean Nowland, his wife: Wanda Sue Reaves Nowland; one sister, Vivian Brown and two brothers, Jimmy Nowland and Tony Nowland.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Nowland, Coby Mayne,Thomas Young, Randy Brown, and Buster Brown.
The family wishes to express their great appreciation to the Staff of Clay County Nursing Home and Compassus Hospice for the tender care given to their father.
Mr. Nowland visitation will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland at 12:00 P.M. until services begin at 1 P.M
