SHEFFIELD – One of the niftiest things about living in the Muscle Shoals area is the opportunity to hear some truly wonderful pickers and singers. Tuesday night wa no exception! From the website, “Swampland“, you can find out some information… although the tip of the iceberg… about Shoals music legend, Scott Boyer. Boyer stands out in a field of giants of Southern Rock.
And last night at Jimmy Nutt’s, Nutt House Recording Studio, Boyer and fellow band member, Tommy Talton from their days with Cowboy, the ’70s country-rock group they founded with bassist George Clark, multi-instrumentalists Bill Pillmore and Pete Kowalke and drummer Tomm Wynn. It is a big understatement to say that the Nutt House rocked! The ensemble was completed with keyboardist N.C. Thurman. The event was produced by Andreas Werner.
