Bowser wins Hotelier of the Year Award for 2013

Marriott Shoals Hotel and Spa.  Bowser has been selected Hotelier of the Year for 2013.  Under his leadership, the Marriott Shoals was named the #1 Marriott Hotel in North America for guest satisfaction, dining, golf, spa, luxury and several other categories in 2012 and that momentum continues into 2013. Thanks to Bowser’s leadership and the exceptional team of hospitality professionals at the hotel, both the Marriott Shoals and its revolving 360 Grille have received Four Diamond Award status from AAA.  His vision in the honoring our rich music heritage in the Shoals led to the naming of the Sam Phillips Suite, and the W. C. Handy Suite in the Hotel.  He also was instrumental in the creation of Swampers Bar and Grill, where live music is heard every night of the year.

 

marriottBowser accepted his position in June of 2004 and was involved in the hotels design and construction prior to opening the hotel in June 2005.  Through extra effort by Bowser and his team the hotel opened ahead of schedule to accommodate the Triton Owners Bass Tournament through a partnership with Florence Lauderdale Tourism.

 

Bowser’s understanding and appreciation of the local music history and the abundance of outdoor activities available in the Shoals has been a refreshing aid in recruiting new and exciting groups to our area.

The Marriott Shoals Hotel and  Spa is operated by PCH Hotels & Resorts, Inc. Bowser is the former Vice President of Finance and Accounting for PCH Hotels & Resorts, Inc. and helped form the company in 2000.
