Boston “Pete” Mantooth, Jr

Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Boston “Pete” Mantooth, Jr, age 88, of Winchester, TN. Mr. Manooth passed from this life on February 3, 2022 at Southern Tennessee Regional Healthcare Systems. He worked in general labor for B. F. Goodrich for over 30 years until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, and gardening. He would often count the days until he could plant his garden, especially “those turnip greens”. Mr. Mantooth leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories his wife of 69 years, Virginia Finney Mantooth; daughter, June Knight; brother, Danny Mantooth; grandchildren, Melinda Knight (Brandon Mayer), Mandy (John) Hill; great grandchildren, Grace and Caroline Hill. He is preceded in death by his parents, Boston Mantooth, Sr., and Nellie Logan Mantooth; son, Dennis Mantooth; brothers, Bill and Roy Lee Mantooth; sisters, Blanche Mathis, Margie Limbaugh, Virginia Williams, Reba Payne, and Nannie Bostick . The family will receive friends on Monday February 7, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will start at 1:00 with Minister Ted Stoffle officiating. Interment will follow at Watson-North Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be served by Ricky Finney, Jason Bradford, Scott Mantooth, Doug Sells, Bobby Ray Sells and Doyle Finney.
