FLORENCE – For the next several weeks, folks around The Shoals will be seeing a police cruiser sporting a hot-pink paint job. It’s the Breast Cancer Awareness Month promotional vehicle. The snarky (and fun-to-drive)Dodge Challenger will be really easy to spot on the roadways. It was provided by University Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Florence.
The car can be seen all over the area to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to help raise money for Brat Pack and Bosom Buddies. Sheffield Police are driving the car. Sheffield City Council members, Mary Stephens, Steve Stanley, Steve Nix, and Ronnie Wicks were on hand.
A number of local businesses are sponsoring the car including the Quad-Cities Daily and many of our. advertisers. A special note, the police car will be on display, in addition to all of its other stops, at the big Halloween Trunk-or-Treat street party in Downtown Sheffield on October 28th.
