Bonnie Whaley Jones, 84, of Madison, Alabama, died Friday, July 11, 2025, at home. Bonnie was born March 20, 1941, in Potts Camp, Mississippi, to Paul and Vidal Mae Stone Whaley.
She graduated from Delta State University in English education. She taught in Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, and Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Eugene Jones, her sons William Whaley Jones and Joseph Paul Eugene Jones, her brother-in-law Maynard Teel, her sister-in-law Faye Palmer, and her niece Jackie Roberts.
She is survived by her sister Paulette Teel of Potts Camp, Mississippi; her nieces Dr. Anna Teel of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Maria Teel of Brandon, Mississippi; and Christina Smith (Brandon) of Hernando, Mississippi; and her nephews John Paul Teel of Dallas, Texas; Jay Palmer and Jonathan Palmer of Montgomery, Alabama.
The family of Bonnie Jones would like to thank American Senior Assistance Programs, Inc. and Hospice Family Care for their excellent care for Bonnie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 2 PM at Hampton Cove Funeral Home.
