Bonnie Sue Ferguson, 81, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at NMMC-Tupelo. Bonnie Sue was born to Vernon and Lula Cynthia Mooneyham in Pontotoc County, MS, on January 2, 1943. She married her high school sweetheart, Howard Ferguson, in 1960, and they were married for 53 years until his passing. Bonnie spent the majority of her life as a homemaker, raising their four children. She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed crocheting, reading, and worshipping her Lord and Savior.
Survivors include her four children, Steve Ferguson (Mavs), Natalie Malone (Mike), Debra Murry (Kip), and Matt Ferguson (Nita); her six grandchildren, Kristy Dowdy (Chris), Kayla Cummings (Cody), Channing Holcomb (Breann), Tanna Holcomb, Weston Murry (Reagan), and Brody Ferguson; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Howard Ferguson; son-in-law, Terry Wayne Murry; her parents; three sisters; three brothers; and a sister-in-law, Doris Ferguson Pickens.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Chad Holcomb officiating. Visitation will begin 12 PM. Burial will follow in Buckhorn Cemetery.
