Bonnie Lou Johnson was born June 3, 1953 in Tutwiler, MS, the daughter of the late Leroy and Lillian Massey. She was united in marriage to Johnny Johnson on July 1, 2005.

Bonnie dedicated many years of her life to her career at the Degussa Chemical Plant in Mobile, AL, from which she eventually retired. Her commitment to her work was but a reflection of her character—dedicated and sincere. She was a member of the Ladies of 798 Union.

Outside of her professional life, Bonnie’s true passions shone brightly. She reveled in the simple joys of fishing and shopping, but her greatest happiness came from spending cherished moments with her grandchildren. Each laugh and shared experience deepened the love she had for her family.

Bonnie’s spirit was one of warmth, laughter, and compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, yet lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

She departed this life at her home on December 10, 2024 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 6 Months, 7 Days.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Johnny Johnson of Adamsville, TN; children: Nick Smith of Tupelo, MS, William Johnson and wife Amy of Hazel Green, AL, Jennie Brewer and husband Stephen of Ringgold, GA; a sister, Linda Johnson and husband Eddie of Mantachie, MS; three brothers: Robert Massey and wife Camille of Senatobia, MS, Roy Massey and wife Brenda of Ponitoc, MS, Johnny Massey of Hurricane, MS; granddaughters, Whitney Schaffer and husband Matt of Chunchula, AL, Tamra Johnson and husband Bull of Theadore, AL; special friends, Tanya and Chassidi Tucker; and a slew of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
