Bonnie Lee Kirtley – Obituary

Bonnie Lee Kirtley, age 76 of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016. Her graveside service will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. in Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville, AL with Dr. Randy Thompson officiating.

Mrs. Kirtley was a native of St. Louis, Missouri and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Tuscumbia, where she was involved in the Helping Hand Ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents; Glen and Mary Phillips; husband of thirty-three years, Michael Lee Kirtley; and son, Scott Michael Kirtley. She was a genealogist, an avid gardener and an artist of many beautiful crafts, including painting, sculpting ceramics, especially Santa Clauses.

Survivors include her son; Keith Kirtley; daughter, Karrey Lossau and husband Wayne; brother, Gary Phillips and wife Donna; grandchildren Hilary Lossau, Bethany Lossau and Michael Lossau.

Pallbearers are Wayne Lossau, Michael Lossau, Keith Kirtley, Gary Phillips, Kaleb Schrock and Scott Pope.

Bonnie encouraged us to keep God close to your heart and stated in a letter to her children and grand-children that Heaven will be a place of beauty, peace, constant health and happiness Rev.21:4. Contrary to popular opinion, anyone who sincerely seeks God’s will can find it. Jer. 29:13-14

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Covenant Christian School
