Bonnie Jean Kennamer age 67 of Boaz, AL, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Bonnie was born on March 19, 1955 as Bonnie Jean Hancock to Walter and Myrtis Hancock of Douglas, AL. She was a graduate of Douglas High School, class of 1973. After graduating, she worked at the Lee Factory for many years before devoting 25 years to Boaz City Schools. She was an active member of Welcome Home FCM Church of Douglas, AL. She loved her family and her church family very much. Most importantly she loved being an Aunt. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly and the role of being their “Bon Bon”.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Kenneth Kennamer of 40 years. Mother Myrtis Hancock, sister Vicky (Keith) Vaughn; brothers Walter Hancock Jr., and David Handcock; special nieces Jessica (Jeremy) Johnson, and Nikki Vaughn; and honorary great nephew Konner.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her father Walter Hancock Sr.; and mother-in-law Mary Kennamer
