Bonnie Beard – Obituary

Bonnie Beard, 80, died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born March 22, 1932 in Franklin County, Al. She was retired from Wrangler after 37 years. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Al. with Pastor James Yielding officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery, Hodges, Al. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are two sons – Donald Beard and Billy Joe Beard, both of Hodges, Al.; one daughter – Barbara Faye Grant (Ricky) Easley, SC.; three sisters – Johnnie Mae Jaehne, Kenosha, Wi., Ann Wood (Claudie) Belmont, Ms. and Vicki Evans, Hackleburg, Al.; one brother – Allen Burgett, Killen, Al.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Beard, her parents, Lewis Thomas Burgett and Lena Mae Files Burgett, a son, Johnny Ray Beard, a brother, Alfred Thomas Burgett and a sister, Dorothy Moore.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 17, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. and until service time on Tuesday.
