Bonnie Ann Howell, a beloved homemaker and housewife, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023, at her home in Middleton, TN. She was born on November 6, 1934, in Hardeman County, Tennessee. Bonnie will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and her warm-hearted nature.
Bonnie’s family and friends will gather to pay their respects and celebrate her life at two visitation events. The first visitation will take place on October 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors located at 201 South Main Street in Middleton, TN. The second visitation will be held on October 25, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Brints Chapel Baptist Church situated at 3260 Brints Chapel Rd., Middleton, TN.
A funeral service honoring Bonnie’s life will be held on October 25, 2023, at the same location as the second visitation—Brints Chapel Baptist Church. The service will commence at 3:00 PM. Following the funeral service, Bonnie will be laid to rest during a graveside service at Brints Chapel Cemetery.
Bonnie was an incredibly loving mother who adored her family. She found joy in being surrounded by her loved ones and cherished all the precious moments spent together. Bonnie’s hobbies included fishing and gardening; these activities brought her immense happiness throughout her life. She also had a passion for playing board games and always showed great enthusiasm during friendly competitions with friends and family.
Bonnie had a deep connection with her church family at Central Baptist Church and treasured the time she spent with them. Her faith was an integral part of her life, providing her strength and solace. Bonnie’s love for travel was notably expressed through her numerous trips to the Smoky Mountains. The breathtaking scenery and peaceful atmosphere held a special place in her heart.
Bonnie will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by a loving family, including her daughters Carolyn McKee (Wayne), Sarah Zeboski (John), and Becky White (Cavin); sons Jerry Howell (Diane), Dwade Howell (Debra), and Jimmy Howell; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Bonnie in death were her father Isac Carl Stewart, mother Emma Louise Scott Stewart, husband Bro. Orville Howell. whom she married on Feb. 17, 1951, brothers Glenn Stewart and Prentice Stewart, sister Irene Stewart, grandchildren, Amanda & Justin Cossar and a grand daughter in law, Kristy Howell.
During this time of grief, let us remember Bonnie for the joy she brought into our lives. Her kind spirit, love for family, and strong faith will forever be cherished. She has left behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire generations to come.
