The family of Bonita Marlene Royal, age 63, of Decatur, will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2015, at Shelton Funeral Home. Interment will be private with Rev. Rich Thompson and Rev. Michael Mason officiating.
Mrs. Royal, who died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at UAB Hospital, was born February 13, 1952, in Illinois, to Charles Seegmiller and Barbara Clester Seegmiller. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Royal was an X-ray technician at Parkway Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Royal of Decatur; one daughter, Amanda Jackson (Jason) of Decatur; one sister, Marsha Pittman of McIntosh; and two grandchildren, Preston and Eva Reese Jackson, both of Decatur.
