Bonita Ann Garrett Profile Photo It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bonita “Bonnie” Ann Garrett on October 21, 2024, at the age of 80. Bonnie was born on June 27, 1944, to John B and Kathleen Virginia Colbert Bayer in Hagerstown, MD.

Throughout her lifetime, she touched the hearts of those around her with her love for her family, flowers, animals, and the simple joys in life. She adored her grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them and creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Her love for flowers and animals was evident in the beauty she surrounded herself with, finding peace and happiness in their presence.

In her quiet moments, Bonnie found solace in her hobbies of crocheting, knitting, and solving crossword puzzles. These activities allowed her creativity to flourish and provided moments of relaxation and contentment in her daily life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary “Buttermilk” Garrett; son, John Gordon Garrett; and her sister, Sharon Young. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Garrett (Karen) and Anthony Garrett (Salina); daughter, Tracy Garrett; brother John Bayer Jr.; sister, Audrey Willard; grandchildren, Levi Garrett, Grayson Smith, Tatum Garrett, Cameron Garrett, Cory Garrett, Chantz Garrett, Taylor Garrett, and Summer Garrett; and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home on Thursday, October 24, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM and continuing until the funeral hour of 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Haynes Cemetery.

The memory of Bonnie will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
