Roger Dale Stevens
DECATUR-The Decatur Police have a BOLO on a suspect wanted in a shooting that took place on Saturday, November 14. Statement from the Decatur Police:
“On 11/14/15 at 9:43am, Decatur Police responded to a shooting at The Corner Bakery, located at the intersection of 8th St and Somerville Rd.
The victim, 62-year-old Kay Letson Stevens was transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds.
During the investigation, it was determined that Kay Stevens and Roger Dale Stevens have recently gotten a divorce. This morning, Kay arrived at the bakery where she works. Roger Stevens was waiting for her to arrive and he approached her with a pistol.
Roger Stevens then shot his ex-wife multiple times. Roger then fled the scene before police arrived.
Kay Stevens was later airlifted to Huntsville Hospital. Her condition at this time is unknown.
Decatur Police is looking for Roger Dale Stevens for the shooting.
He is described as follows:
Roger Dale Stevens White Male born in 1951 5’08” 190lbs gray hair hazel eyes.
He may be driving one of the following vehicles:
1999 Toyota Camry 4dr Silver AL Tag 52DM809
2004 Honda Pilot SUV black AL Tag 52DM807
1978 Ford F100 pickup brown AL Tag 52DM808.
He is to be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has info on his location, please contact Decatur Police”
