Bobby (Robert Preston) Morgan, age 80, passed from this life into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 2, 2015. He was born on July 16, 1934 at his grandparents’ home. Bobby was a child all his life, and brought cheer to everyone he met. For as long as he was able, Bobby rode his bicycle along the streets of Saltillo, so the local police department “deputized” him to help watch over the community. Bobby delighted in showing his police badge all his life.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Tim Green at Saltillo United Methodist church on Sunday at 3 pm. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest beside his loving parents, Elmo Douglas and Iva Sue Stanley Morgan at Lee Memorial Park in Verona. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He leaves a host of family and friends. A special thanks is offered to all those who cared for him: the Stanley family, the Dunaway family, the Young family, the Morgan family, the Hutchison family, and special pastor Rev. Tim Green. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jimmy Keyes Morgan, and a nephew, Jimmy Todd Morgan.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Dunaway, Donnie Dunaway, Rocky Dunaway, Franklin Dunaway, Adam Dunaway, and Jason Dunaway.
Memorials may be made to the Saltillo United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 146, Saltillo MS 38866. For online guest registry visit www.leememorialonline.com
