Bobby Ray Palmer Bobby Ray Palmer, 82, of Fort Payne, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his home. He was born in Blount County, Alabama on August 24, 1940 to the late Oliver Palmer and Helen Clay Palmer. He owned and operated Palmer Fabricating Inc. for 25 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Payne.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Cemetery with Dr. Marshall Henderson and Dr. Pat McFadden officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service at Wilson Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years Janet Palmer; children Troy Palmer, Scott Palmer, Harvey Palmer (Jana), Laura P. Thrasher (Kevin), and Nathan Palmer; brothers Frank Palmer (Pam) and Doug Palmer; and 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Lyvoid Palmer, brothers Charles, Clay and Buster Palmer, sister Jeanette Clevenger, and grandson Justin Logan.
