Bobby Ray Henslee, 83, passed away on June 4, 2022, after a brave battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family at home in Columbia, Tennessee.
Bob was born in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Theo Henslee and Eula (Doyle) Henslee.
He worked as a salesman for many years before his retirement. He was dedicated to his family and The Bridge Church where he served as a greeter on Sunday mornings. Bob had a way of making everyone feel welcome and important. He will be deeply missed by his family and community.
A celebration of life honoring Bob will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia and officiated by Charlie George and Rob Thomas. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Henslee; children, Theresa (Dudley) Hancock, Mike (Marsha) Henslee, and Lori (John) Rafter; stepchildren, Lauren (John) Keen, Tiffany (Johnny) Suppatkul, and Shane (Samantha) Smith; grandchildren, Lauren (Adam) Brown, Michael (Candice) Henslee, Samuel Rafter, and Abigail Rafter; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Henry Brown and Lenore and Palmer Henslee.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Theo Henslee and Eula (Doyle) Henslee; siblings, Harold ‘Red’ Henslee, Imogene Ring, Jack Henslee, and Durwood Henslee; first wife and mother of his children, Dalene (Hicks) Henslee.
The family would like to thank the nurses and caretakers of Compassus Hospice for their love and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or The Bridge Church, Columbia, TN.
