Bobby Ray Hamilton, age 66 of Muscle Shoals, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at his residence. Visitation will be Thursday, 1:30-3:30 at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Larry Smart officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hamilton had been a resident of Muscle Shoals for the past thirty-six years and was retired from the Muscle Shoals Police Department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Linda Powers Hamilton; daughter, Michelle Sterling; sister, Brenda Holt (Ray); brother, Johnny Hamilton (Michelle); brother-in-law, Bill Powers (Theresa); grandchildren, Savannah and Cole Sterling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Catherine Hamilton; brothers, James Wylie Hamilton, brother-in-law; Chuck Powers; sister, Betty Ann Hamilton and grandson, Harrison Blake Sterling.
Pallbearers will be family members.
