A Celebration of Life service for Bobby Ray Burress, 81 of Madison, AL formally of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, May 20, 2022 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow at West Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Stantonville, TN.  Dr. Randy Bostick will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2022 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  Mr. Burress passed Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in Madison, AL.  He was born September 30, 1940 in Corinth, MS to James H. Burress and Grace Jackson Burress.  He was a member of the Millington High School class of 1958 and served his country in the U S Army.  He was a supervisor for International Harvester in Memphis for 29 years and was also employed at Dana Corp.  Mr. Burress loved traveling the country to see his siblings and other family and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a Sunday School teacher at Oakland Baptist Church for 20+ years and was a deacon at Egypt Baptist Church in Memphis, TN.  Bobby is survived by his son, Timothy Burress; his daughter, Cindy Burress Dawkins and husband Art; 2 grandchildren, Summer Dawkins and Roman Dawkins; his brother, James E. Burress and wife Nancy; his sister, Jeanette Hume and husband Ronnie; other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Sarah Smith Burress; his parents, James H. Burress and Grace Jackson Burress and his brothers, Billy Joe Burress, Donnie Wayne Burress and Tommy Burress.  Pallbearers will be Greg Burress, Steve Burress, Art Dawkins, Roman Dawkins, Grady Jackson, Jr. and Wiley Burress.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Bobby Ray Burress.
