Bobby Neal Rodgers, 60, died at North Mississippi Medical Center on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was born on December 10, 1963 in Tupelo to the late O’Neal and Cynthia Rodgers. Bobby grew up and was a lifelong resident of Lee County. He was one of the best handymen around. He was a carpenter, home builder, and could make anything out of wood. Bobby had a unique sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing any and all kinds of games and practical jokes with the nieces and nephews, grandkids, and all the family. Bobby loved to be outdoors building things, fishing, and living life to the fullest. He would sit and watch cowboy movies or play dominos with family. He was the life of the party and loved being with his family.
A service celebrating Bobby’s life will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Bobby is survived by his wife, Carla Rodgers; sons, Justin Rodgers and Dakota Rushing; daughters, Katesha Smith and Danielle Youngblood; brothers, Steven Rodgers and Frankie Rodgers; sister, Patricia Armstrong; 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Gary Poe; and son Michael Neal Rodgers.
