Mr. Bobby Moore, 83, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, in Jackson. Mr. Moore, the husband of Judy Moore, was born in Decatur County on September 27, 1940, to the late Troy Lynn Moore and Elzie Estail Pratt Moore. He retired from Lexington Utilities as a gas system manager.
Mr. Moore loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed golfing, taking short day trips, and watching and attending car races.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 26 years, Judy (Massey) Moore; four sons: David Moore, Daren Moore, Deron Jones (Kelly), and Gary Jones (Kristi); two daughters: Donna Maness (Allan), and Janna Turner (Brad); brother, Tony Moore (Dewana); two sisters: Linda Rhodes (Robert), and Brenda Evans; seven grandchildren: Jonathan Austin (Jessica), Grant Cacy (Bridget); Austin Cacy, Bryan Turner, Dylan Lancaster, Sarah Williams, and Will Austin; six great grandchildren: Olivia, Michaelyn, Jenna, Easton, Jolie, Garrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Paul Moore.
Graveside services for Mr. Moore will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Peace Chapel Cemetery, with Bro. Roger Brown and Bro. Craig Evans officiating. The family will receive friends at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington on Friday, July 26, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
